As part of our new Current Research program, Materials Today is delighted to introduce this presentation from Dr Jon Major.
Dr Jon Major works at the Stephenson institute for renewable energy, at the University of Liverpool, on novel ways to improve the performance and reduce the cost of CdTe thin film solar cells. In this presentation, he discusses activation the CdTe solar cell based on an alternative, non-toxic and cheap method based on Mg chloride instead of Cd chloride.
This new series of online lectures will provide a forum for the latest developments in materials science, presented by early-career researchers, offering their perspectives on their research.
