SEMICONDUCTOR PROCESS SCIENTIST

AIXTRON Ltd is a global market leader in the research, design and manufacturer of Metal Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition (MOCVD) Systems for the Compound Semiconductor industry, with over 300 systems distributed worldwide.

Based in Swavesey, Cambridge, this dynamic and friendly company, is looking for a Semiconductor Process Engineer/Scientist to join our Customer Service Team. As part of the AIXTRON Group Global Service Operations you will be key to supporting our customers and technology.

You will have a background in III-V/GaN growth technology and the semiconductor industry and also have a Masters degree or higher in Physics, Material Science, Chemistry or other appropriate discipline.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Customer Support in process and system service.
• Initiating start up process for newly installed MOCVD systems and give “growth” demonstrations at customer sites in the USA, Asia and Europe.
• Giving after sales process support to customers, plus advice and support as necessary, both on-site and from the Cambridge office.
• Provide Sales and Marketing support, at customer sites, conferences and from the Cambridge office.

Successful applicants will be:

• Customer orientated with experience in providing a high level of Customer Service Support.
• Good communicators and possess excellent rapport building skills.
• Extremely enthusiastic and reliable with a positive attitude.
• Adaptable and capable of learning and developing technology in a short time under pressure.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and have the ability to travel extensively to other parts of the world, particularly Asia, America and Europe.
