Department of Physics and Materials Science (AP) [Ref. A/661/49]

Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (SEEM) [Ref. A/663/49]

Duties : Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervise research students, conduct research and perform duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements : A PhD in related disciplines, with expertise to teach one or more subjects in the following areas:

a) Nuclear power generation, nuclear reactor dynamics and control, maintenance and services for nuclear power systems, nuclear waste management, reactor thermal-hydraulics, with research expertise in one or more of the following areas: medical radiation, nuclear reactor modeling, materials science and engineering, structural material and mechanics, MEMS, non-destructive evaluation, control and automation, robotics, and thermo-fluid dynamics

b) Radiation biophysics, general medical physics, medical radiation physics including radiotherapy and imaging physics, nuclear reactor physics, radiation measurements, radiation protection and dosimetry

c) Risk engineering, probabilistic risk assessment, hazard effects management process, nuclear waste management, risk analysis and assessment, system prognostics and diagnostics

Outstanding candidates in other areas will also be considered. Successful candidates should have a solid interdisciplinary foundation and demonstrate promises/records of outstanding scholarship in both teaching and research.

Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
