Chromalloy has hired Jason Humphries, a long-time turbine industry executive and technical expert, as its new business development director. In this role, Humphries will lead new component repair developments for turbine engine manufacturers and operators for Chromalloy's Carson City, Nevada, and Mexicali, Mexico, operations.
Chromalloy’s Carson City and Mexico operations provide a wide range of manufacturer and operator repairs on hot section engine components. “Jason is a seasoned business leader with a track record of success in the turbine component repair industry,” said Carlo Luzzatto, Chromalloy president. “His leadership of Chromalloy’s Carson City, Nevada, and Mexico development strategies will result in a higher level of service for Chromalloy customers around the world, both in new OEM production and in manufacturer repairs.”
Humphries’ overall leadership success includes P&L management, operations, compliance, sales and marketing, finance and supply chain with a number of industry leading companies providing engine repair and manufacturing services to the aerospace and energy markets. He holds degrees in computer and engineering from the Peoples College in Nottingham, England, and Staffordshire University in Stafford, England, and an MBA in business management from Abertay University in Dundee, Scotland.
The hiring of Humphries follows on the heels of Chromalloy's recent acquisition of Trac Group,
an aerospace turbine component producer.
