Organic electronics have emerged as a promising technology for large-area micro-electronic applications, such as rollable displays, electronic paper, contactless identification transponders, and smart labels. Most of these applications require memory functions; preferably a non-volatile memory that retains its data when the power is turned off, and that can be programmed, erased, and read-out electrically.
