Inert, which makes hermetic systems for aerospace, medical devices, and other additive manufacturing applications that use metal powders has developed a new de-powdering enclosure with gas management system for additive manufacturing (AM).

The de-powdering enclosure is designed for post-build additive manufacturing process and can safely collecting excess metal powders from printed parts for reuse. The de-powdering procedure is conducted within an argon atmosphere controlled by an inert gas management system to avoid contamination from oxygen, moisture, dust, organic matter, or plastic. It can also help eliminate user health risks, damage to area electronics, and fire hazards related to the combustibility of titanium powders.

Following a new partnership with Sievgen, Inert now also offers the Sievgen 04 automated sieving station, which allows users to weigh and measure, reclaim, and transfer metal powders.
