UK AM specialist Renishaw has announced plans to take on 45 new apprentices this year, according to the Western Daily Press website.

‘We are taking 45 apprentices this year, primarily in Gloucestershire [UK],’ Chris Pockett, head of communications at Renishaw, told the website.

According to Pockett, there are four apprenticeship schemes available – technical engineering, manufacturing engineering, software and embedded electronic systems design/development engineering. Applications close on Friday 18 March.

The firm is one of the few to offer software apprenticeships and also has higher apprenticeships available as well, where the student can join after A levels and get day-release for a degree course at university.
