ExOne, which supplies 3D printing machines and products for industry, has developed the Innovent+ additive manufacturing (AM) machine, designed for research and education.

Based on the Innovent platform, the machine has increased powder handling capabilities and comes with the new Ultrasonic recoater designed for material flexibility. The Ultrasonic recoater is a powder disposing technology in the market thatcan be quickly removed for system cleaning or powder change over, ExOne says. Each recoater comes with four screen configurations.

Dust collection has also been localized to pull powder from around the buildbox and utilizes a dust particulate remover with a variable control knob that allows the user to adjust the CFM units pulled. Dust collection options are now available for the Innovent and the Innovent+.
