This one day workshop, organized by Carbon Journal, will cover the latest carbon material developments for batteries, electrochemical capacitors, fuel cells, hydrogen and methane storage, solar cells and related technologies, with a focus on new or emerging materials challenges. New solutions for the efficient storage, harvesting and generation of energy will be specifically targeted. Highlighted areas will include novel materials for electrodes of Li-ion and Li-air batteries, electrodes of supercapcitors, porous carbons for gas storage, transparent conducting films based of nanotubes and graphene, etc. Tutorial presentations will cover various carbons (templated, activated, and carbide-derived porous carbons; onion-like carbon; nanotubes; graphene, etc) for a variety of energy-related applications. Theory and modeling of carbon materials will be included.
