On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my utmost pleasure to invite you to the International Conference on Internal Friction and Mechanical Spectroscopy (ICIFMS-19).
The 19th International Conference will be held from 28 June – 2 July 2021, at the National University of Science and Technology "MISIS", Moscow, Russia.
The conference is the 19th in a series that began in Providence (USA) in 1956 and continued in Ithaca (USA, 1961), Manchester (England, 1965), Providence (USA, 1969), Aachen (Germany, 1973), Tokyo (Japan, 1977), Lausanne (Switzerland 1981), Urbana (USA, 1985), Beijing (China, 1989), Rome (Italy, 1993), Poiters (France, 1996), Buenos Aires (Argentina, 1999), Bilbao (Spain, 2002), Kyoto (Japan, 2005), Perugia (Italy, 2008), Lausanne (Switzerland 2011), Hefei (China, 2014) and Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil, 2017).
The ICIFMS-19 is a great opportunity for the exchange of experiences, innovative ideas, and research focused on theory, advances and applications of internal friction and mechanical spectroscopy, dynamic-mechanical analysis, high and low damping materials and new techniques of internal friction and mechanical spectroscopy. We also encourage and invite scientists from neighboring research fields to share their expertise, which will make ICIFMS-19 an event not to be missed.
The Conference program will consist of plenary, invited, oral talks and poster presentations. Abstracts for oral presentations and poster sessions will be evaluated in relation to the quality and impact. ICIFMS-19 and the Journal of Alloys and Compounds (Impact factor 4.175 in 2018) will publish conference papers as regular articles in a Special Issue. All submitted papers are the subject of peer reviewing according to the Journal rules.
