Daido Steel reports that two of its subsidiaries, Daido Electronics Co Ltd and Intermetallics Japan Corp are to merge.

Through the merger, the Daido group will integrate its neodymium bonded magnets, neodymium hot formed magnets and samarium-iron-nitrogen bonded magnets, produced and sold by Daido Electronics, with neodymium sintered magnets, produced and sold by Intermetallics Japan. ‘The purpose of this merger is the proposal of total solution to the wide needs of various customers of automobile, factory automation and home appliances, etc by rapidly presenting magnets with the adequate quality and shape from wide lineup of magnets,’ the company said in a press release.
