Aerospace supplier Beagle has been investing in upgrading its facilities as part of an expansion and restructuring strategy, which has enabled the company to win business in new markets, such as a recent order in the defence land vehicles sector.

Equipment purchases and upgrades include:

  • pre-preg cutter;
  • laser projection system;
  • CATIA 3D computer aided design and manufacturing software;
  • autoclave refurbishment;
  • clean room facilities; and
  • security installations.

Beagle Technology Group has also added NADCAP Composites to its approvals.

“Our latest investment in equipment and upgrades has meant that Beagle is now able to offer our services, skills and experience to industries beyond the aerospace sector, an area we have served for over 50 years," says John Taylor, Managing Director, Beagle Technology Group.

“As a direct result of this investment, last July we won a major contract to supply composite pods for the Ministry of Defence’s Light Protected Patrol Vehicle (LPPV) programme. This necessitated expanding our workforce, and provided much-needed new jobs in our local area."
