The standard manufacturing method for custom surfboards is followed for the new range. A foam blank is shaped to the required profile and then layers of glass reinforcement are laminated onto the blank using the Amroy Hybtonite system.

Baytubes are agglomerates of multi -wall carbon nanotubes. Each tube consists of several graphite layers with the overall diameter being 13-16 nm (50 000 times thinner than a human hair).

Due to their high modulus of elasticity and excellent tensile strength, Bayer's Baytubes are five times stronger than steel while being a quarter of the specific weight. In addition to their strength properties, Baytubes offer excellent electrical conductivity (comparable to copper) and thermal conductivity values that are equivalent to diamonds.
