Sabic says that it plans to showcase its range of thermoplastic materials for the aerospace industry at the Aircraft Interiors Expo, taking place in in Hamburg, Germany, from 2-4 April 2019. The materials are key constituents of composite materials, including resin, sheet, film, filament and foam, the company says, adding that they help produce high strength aircraft that are regulatory compliant and lightweight. Sabic’s thermoplastics are also reportedly fully compliant with all stringent international flame, smoke and toxicity regulations.

‘As air travel continues along its ever more competitive journey, many customers are seeking design and manufacturing solutions which enable them to not only reduce costs in manufacturing and fuel consumption, but to offer passengers inflight experiences which evoke a more golden age of travel – through more comfort, more luxury, more options for personalization,’ said Paul DiSciullo, global segment leader, mass transportation, Sabic.
