Composites UK and the Advanced Composites Alliance (ACA) have become reciprocal affiliate partners of each other.

The Advanced Composites Alliance is a newly formed network which brings together the main composites manufacturers in Northern Ireland, along with stakeholders such as Bombardier, Thales, the Satellite Applications Catapult and, Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University. It is focused on civil aerospace, defence, space and medical technology.

According to Composites UK, the agreement between the two organisations will mean that they will promote each other to their respective networks including the promotion of reports and developments within the UK composites supply chain. The agreement will also see engagement in one another’s events and conferences, offering discounts for both sets of member companies, and invitations to speak at relevant events.

‘The Advanced Composites Alliance is delighted to be partnered with Composites UK and looks forward to further supporting the growth of the UK composites industry,’ said Dr Alan Blair, spokesperson for the Alliance.
