Italian plastics and rubber trade association Amaplast has celebrated its sixtieth anniversary.

According to the association, some of the companies that took part in its founding on 27 September 1960 are still active members.

Amaplast has recently undertaken projects with Acimac (Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for Ceramics) and Ucima  (Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association).

Amaplast’s recent assembly featured a speech by president Dario Previero, who commented on reports by its statistical studies center that suggest that the eight-year upward trend for the industry had come to halt and that 2019 had closed negatively. A report presented during the public session after the sssembly entitled ‘Millennials: a generation without a future… and without plastic?’ focusing on new generations, what they think, how they move, and their opinions on plastic.
