Composites cutting specialist Bindatex has reported a 40% increase in sales.

Composites cutting specialist Bindatex says that it has received a 40% increase in sales in its annual results.

Following the Covid pandemic, the company reportedly expanded its offering, restructured and added a new division entitled Bindatex Slitting and Sheeting, enabling it to provide protective sheeting for UK retailers. It was also able to change its production systems to die cut disks for filters for the manufacture of ventilators for the NHS, Bindatex said.

‘The company reconfigured its business in March in the wake of a Government call for manufacturers to contribute to the fight against the Coronavirus,’ a press release said.

‘The past five months has not been easy for the manufacturing industry; however, we have continued to invest in initiatives such as our Industry 4.0 data capture system,’ said Chris Lever, MD. ‘We have been able to adapt to different markets, whilst still being able to provide our expected high level of service and fast turnaround times.’
