Collins Aerospace, A Raytheon Technologies company, says that it has acquired Dutch Thermoplastic Components (DTC), which makes structural thermoplastic composite parts.

‘With this acquisition, Collins will expand the use of advanced thermoplastics to make aircraft lighter and more fuel-efficient,’ a press release said.

DTC, established in 1998, produced the landing flap ribs of the Dornier 328 jet and now manufactures more than 2,000 unique part numbers for more than a dozen commercial and business aviation platforms.
