Specialty chemicals group Lanxess has appointed Jacques Perez as its new country representative of in the United Kingdom, and managing director of Lanxess Holding UK. Born in France, Perez has been country representative and managing director of the company’s Indian office since May 2014.

Lanxess has approximately 350 employees in the UK, with five production sites in Baxenden, Branston, Deeside, Sudbury and Trafford Park, Manchester.

Perez follows Kim O'Connor, who will retire on 31 October 2018 after more than 40 years with Lanxess and Bayer.

‘On behalf of the entire board of management, I would like to thank Kim O'Connor for his excellent work and his outstanding contribution to the company over the years,’ said Rainier van Roessel, Lanxess board member. ‘At the same time I would like to wish Jacques Perez every success in his new role.’
