Improvements in the carbonisation of viscose fibers

While maximum theoretical carbon yield for the carbonisation of viscose fibres is 44%, in reality the carbon yield is just in the range of 20%.

Bio-based polymers, plastics and biocomposites can offer more sustainable materials with a lower environmental footprint and reduced carbon footprint.

Reinforced Plastics spoke with Christoph Geyer from SAERTEX about their materials and their impact.
