The ThermoPlastic Composites Application Center (TPAC) features new processing equipment.

A thermoplastic composites lab has been opened in Holland. Run by a consortium of companies and institutions, the ThermoPlastic Composites Application Center (TPAC) features new processing equipment allowing it to focus on cost-effective processing and application of thermoplastic composites.

According to a press release, thermoplastic composites have properties such as impact resistance and fast processing making them the material of choice for applications such as aerospace, sport cars and sporting goods. The goal of the TPAC is to reduce processing costs to broaden the use of thermoplastic composites and make the material affordable for more sectors, business and people and cover three research areas: recycling, production and automation.
