UK design engineering company Sharp & Tappin Technologies has developed a new range of composite routers aimed at R&D Labs and Test Centers.
 
The company confidently states that its Compcut PCR 300 routers, which have three-axis machining capability, can cope with the complex geometry and high accuracy compression required with composite test specimens as well as being ideal for production trimming and second operation machining on finished components.
 
The router range, developed in conjunction with the prestigious UK National Composites Centre, incorporates elements from CNC routers such as a high-speed spindle and flat laminate compatibility together with the precision and flood coolant capability associated with vertical machining centers, to create an effective new machining format.
