Interested in Fatigue and Damage Mechanics related to Composites?

The third edition of the International Summer School on Fatigue and Damage Mechanics of Composite Materials, organized by the Department of Management and Engineering  - University of Padova, is set to go ahead in person in the beautiful city of Vicenza (Italy) from the 4th to the 8th of July, 2022.

According to the organizer Professor Marino Quaresimin of the University of Padova, the School aims to provide young scientists and engineers both from Academia and Industry with a unique opportunity to meet and learn from leading international experts about advances in the fatigue and damage mechanics of polymer-based composite materials. During the five-day program, senior researchers and industry representatives will provide lectures on experimental techniques for damage investigations, damage evolution under fatigue, analytical and numerical damage modelling, structural health monitoring and examples of design against damage in advanced industrial applications.

In addition to many stimulating sessions, attendees will also have the opportunity to attend an event aimed at guiding participants on how they can prepare a successful Journal manuscript submission. As more and more research is submitted to Composites Journals, knowing what can make a paper stand out is becoming increasingly important. This session will provide a guide to researchers on how they could improve their chances of being published, and participants will have the opportunity to interact with editors from the Journal Composites Science and Technology – who will give their first-hand experience of what makes a good Journal paper, and what they look for in a Journal manuscript submission.
