Energy Storage Materials is pleased to announce the winners of the 2017 Best Paper Award. Exceptionally, we selected two papers for the award this year.

Marya Baloch, Devaraj Shanmukaraj, Oleksandr Bondarchuk, Emilie Bekaert, and Michel Armand have been awarded for their paper Variations on Li3N protective coating using ex-situ and in-situ techniques for Li° in sulphur batteries (Energy Storage Materials, Volume 9, October 2017, 141-149).

Xin Bing Cheng, Chong Yan, Jia-Qi Huang, Peng Li, Lin Zhu, Lida Zhao, Yingying Zhang, Wancheng Zhu, Shu-Ting Yang, and Qiang Zhang have been awarded for their paper The gap between long lifespan Li-S coin and pouch cells: The importance of lithium metal anode protection (Energy Storage Materials, Volume 6, January 2017, Pages 18-25).

The authors will be invited to attend the 2nd International Conference on Energy Storage Materials (ICEnSM 2018) and the awarding ceremony. Our warm congratulations to the winners!
