The first of the presentations in the series was given by Molly Stevens (Imperial College London) titled: "Tissue Engineering: Latest Advances in Materials Science". The Materials Today Materials in Society lecture series launched in 2015 at the joint  ICMAT and IUMRS-ICA meeting in Singapore; a major materials science event.

This lecture will highlight novel approaches to the use of materials science in tissue engineering that are likely to prove very powerful in the engineering of tissues ranging from bone to cardiac tissue.
