The MPIF reports that Robert A McKotch died 16 September 2016.

McKotch was well known in the PM industry and was the president of Gasbarre Products for 27 years before his retirement. From 2002 to 2006, he served as president of the Powder Metallurgy Equipment Association (PMEA) and on the Metal Powder Industries Federation's (MPIF) board of governors. As a longtime member of APMI International, McKotch served as chairman of the APMI West Penn Chapter and was also appointed an APMI International director.

McKotch received the Distinguished Service to PM award in 2003. Additionally, he co-chaired MPIF's 1997 annual PM conference in Chicago, as well as served on a number of MPIF/APMI Technical Conference Program Committees and the MPIF Technical Board.
