The International Molybdenum Association (IMOA) has published an updated version of the brochure Application of Molybdenum Metal and its Alloys.

This new edition covers the production of molybdenum metal and its physical, mechanical and chemical properties, and explains how the metal and its alloys could be used in a wide range of applications.

It has now been completely revised to include the latest information on the use of moly metal in applications and technologies including lighting, electrical and electronic devices, and medical equipment.

High-temperature processing applications such as hot working, heat treating and glass melting are also covered in the brochure as is thermal spray coating. The publication concludes with a detailed section on machining and fabricating molybdenum metal and alloys.

“This brochure has proved one of our most popular website downloads over the years,” said Dr Nicole Kinsman, IMOA technical director.
