Kyocera has signed a marketing agreement with TactoTek, which makes injection molded structural electronics (IMSE). According to the companies, Kyocera aims to promote IMSE to several new market segments, including industrial and automotive components and electronic devices.

TactoTek’s technology integrates printed electronics and electronic components within 3D injection molded structures to create thin, seamless smart molded structures.

Kyocera and TactoTek plan to work on a prototype part that will form the basis for a technical and commercial evaluation of the use of IMSE technology in Kyocera’s products for automotive and other markets.
