The new facility, which will serve as Proform’s headquarters will focus on metal injection moulding (MIM) production and secondary operations for the medical, telecommunications, firearms, hand-tools, semiconductor, and electronic packaging markets. It will open in October.

“We are very excited to be opening Proform’s new East Providence facility, where we will showcase our technical MIM expertise,” said Peter C. Frost, president of ATW Companies. “MIM has established itself as a mainstream metal fabrication technique, and the existence of two separate facilities offers significantly enhanced logistical, security, and redundancy benefits. It also places us closer to customers and markets.”
Proform is a wholly owned subsidiary of ATW Companies, acquired by ATW in 2009 to augment Parmatech’s California-based MIM operation.
