Following the success of the International Symposium on Natural Photonic Structures in Shanghai in 2011, this conference will showcase recent work in the established and expanding field of Living Light, namely the study of light and optics within the natural world.
Subjects to be covered include:
- Anatomy, function and/or evolution of biological photonic structures;
- Physics, optics and biology of light in the living world;
- Artificial, biomimetic and/or bio-inspired synthesis of new materials and light manipulating devices.
