Synchronizer hubs are the core product for the shifting mechanism in all double-clutch and manual transmissions, and GKN has been making them using conventional powder metallurgy technology for more than 20 years.

“Our ability to produce high-quality parts for this period of time shows that our employees pride themselves on the work they do and strive to not only meet, but exceed, our customers’ requirements,” said Stefan Zeier, plant manager of the Bad Brückenau facility.

GKN also produces synchronizer hubs in its facilities in Danyang, China; Hortolandia, Brazil; and Pimpri, India.
