The award was given by the GM Mexico Powertrain Division to its suppliers. Metaldyne’s Ramos Arizpe plant earned a top score on quality performance, with zero PRR (problem report resolutions), zero PPM (parts rejected per million) and 100% on-time delivery, as well as support from the GM purchasing department and design release engineers.

“This award represents the dedication to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and best-in-class quality that is shared by the employees at our Ramos Arizpe, Mexico operation,” said Thomas Amato, president and CEO, Metaldyne. “We deeply appreciate GM’s acknowledgment of the Metaldyne Ramos Arizpe team’s efforts.”

GM was the first customer for which Metaldyne Mexico supplied fully machined powder forged connecting rods.
