Duall will manufacture the orders in its Owosso, Michigan, USA, factory using its NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) approved DUALLast® composite construction.

Consisting of an inner liner of polyvinyl chloride (or other inert material) and an outer layer of glass fibre reinforced plastic, DUALLast corrosion resistant equipment is designed to offer extended service life under severe operating conditions.

One of the orders, valued at $2.2 million, is to supply three odour control and six water purification systems. These will reduce harmful and hazardous odours by removing hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide at the water treatment plant’s filtration and processing operation. Duall will supply forced draft aerators, odour control scrubbers and exhaust fans.

The second order, valued at approximately $600 000, is to supply two Duall degasifier systems, complete with Duall exhaust fans. The degasifiers will remove hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide dissolved gases from contaminated groundwater as part of the process designed to make the groundwater suitable for public use.

Both projects are expected to ship next year.
