Plasticon Europe manufactures corrosion resistant glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) and dual laminate products. Its products are used in chemicals, water / wastewater, power generation and other process industries. The company's head office is in the Netherlands and it has with production facilities in Europe, Thailand and Malaysia.
AC Plastiques produces corrosion resistant tanks, apparatus and piping systems, mainly for the chemicals, metals and mining industries. AC Plastiques has facilities in Montreal in Canada, Louisiana in the USA (AC Plastiques USA LLC) and Shanghai, China (AC Plastiques Jiaxing and Sanfang).
For Plasticon Europe BV the acquisition of AC Plastiques is an important step in its growth strategy. With AC Plastiques the group will strengthen its position in its core business and enter markets where it currently has limited presence.
As part of the Plasticon group, AC Plastiques will be able to offer a much wider product and service package and profit from the synergy with the existing Plasticon Europe companies.
AC Plastiques will remain an independent entity within the group and will continue to operate under its current name. It will serve the North American market alongside the power market that Plasticon North America will continue to service.
AAC Capital Partners, which has a majority stake in Plasticon, fully supports the acquisition of AC Plastiques.
