Magnetoresistance is the relative change in the electrical resistance of a material produced on the application of a magnetic field. It is generally defined by, MR = [Ap/p(O)] = [p(H)-p(O)]/o(O) (1) where p(H) and p(O) are the resistances or resistivities at a given temperature in the presence and absence of a magnetic field, H, respectively.
