PSI-26 Plasma Surface Interaction

On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, the International Program Committee, and the International Advisory Committee, we are pleased to invite you to the 26th International Conference on Plasma Surface Interaction in Controlled Fusion Devices (PSI-26), in Marseille, France, from May 12th to May 17th, 2024. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the PSI conferences, following the first one held at the Argonne National Laboratory in the United States in 1974.

The event is organized by the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA), a key player in research, development and innovation, which leads fusion research in France, in collaboration with Aix-Marseille University (AMU), a research-intensive and multidisciplinary university with 80,000 students.

The conference venue is an hour's drive from ITER.

The conference will be held face-to-face only at the Palais du Pharo, which offers a unique view of the old port and world-class facilities. Marseille is a dynamic, multi-faceted city, renowned for its gastronomy, its Calanques National Park and its breathtaking scenery, as well as its position as the gateway to Provence.

A satellite meeting, the “17th International Workshop on Hydrogen Isotopes in Fusion Reactor materials” will be organized in French Alps.

To be on the mailing list for future PSI-26 announcements, please email the secretariat if you have not received the PSI-26 announcement by the end of September.

We sincerely hope that the conference will provide an opportunity to share the latest developments and open questions in this field, which are of vital importance for the realization of nuclear fusion energy.

We are counting on your participation and your scientific contribution to make PSI-26 a resounding success!
