AIMPLAS brings together the greatest experts in the field of bioplastics in the International Seminar on Biopolymers and Sustainable Composites
On 6 and 7 March, AIMPLAS will run in Valencia the fifth edition of the International Seminar on Biopolymers and Sustainable Composites. The main focus in this tri-annual event will be the analysis of the current market for Bioplastics and Biocomposites, its challenges, new R&D trends as well as different solutions for their lifecycle.
The plastics industry assists at an experienced unique growth in the global bioplastics production of the last years with expectations of a medium-term increase. The growing demand for this type of materials reflects an important commitment of enterprises for sustainability as a business strategy. Thus, R&D enables biodegradable plastics and products made from renewable sources to break down the barriers that existed until today and to apply them in the most demanding business sectors. To such a degree we already can emphasize that they represent a viable alternative to other conventional materials.
The consolidation of these advances, the outlook of the bioplastics market, their lifecycle as well the focus on the challenges that these materials have to surmount, will be the objectives of the fifth edition of the International Seminar on Biopolymers and Sustainable Composites, organized by AIMPLAS. In the last edition in 2011, over 150 participants took part in this event and turned it into an obligatory meeting of this business sector, including presentations of great experts in the field.
The meeting of the main multinational companies from the bioplastics sector, such as management staff from public administration, business organizations, technology centers, managers of industrial waste and certification bodies will be a crucial aspect of this seminar of several days' duration in Valencia.
