Elsevier journals now invite authors to submit supplementary MATLAB figure files with the .FIG file extension. These files will be visualized using an interactive viewer that allows readers to explore figures within the context of the article.
The FIG files can be uploaded during submission and will then be available for download from the article on SciVerse ScienceDirect.
At present, only a few publications offer this functionality - but stay tuned for future updates. So if you want to upload FIG files with your paper, head over to the following journals:
